Pernod Ricard donates 8000 litres of alcohol sanitizers to combat COVID-19 in Lagos State

Following the outbreak of  COVID-19 pandemic and its warring increase in Nigeria, foremost wine and spirits distribution company – Pernod Ricard Nigeria has donated alcohol sanitizers to the Lagos State Ministry of Health.

The initiative is part of the company’s generic efforts in cushioning the widespread impact of the virus and augmenting the government’s resource in creating a safe environment for doctors, health care workers and patients in wards and isolation centres across the state.

During this pandemic, the company says it has seen many great brands rise to the task of assisting the government to fight COVID-19.

On behalf of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Managing Director -David Langlois presented 8,360 litres of alcohol sanitizers to the Lagos state Ministry of Health.

“We trust that our contribution will assist our doctors and healthcare workers who are at the forefront of keeping Nigerians safe and healthy.

“At the very core of Pernod Ricard Nigeria is its obligation towards corporate social responsibility and this is one of the many ways the organization encourages the workings of the government in managing and curtailing the outbreak,”Barene Jankovich-Besan, Head of Marketing – CODI, Pernod Ricard said.

The company says it looks forward to more brands in Nigeria stepping forward to support the government in combating the virus.
