Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases cross 6,000 with 216 new infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday night confirmed 216 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 6175.

A breakdown of the new cases shows Lagos has the highest number with 74 new cases, followed by Katsina with 33 cases.

Others are; 19-Oyo 17-Kano 13-Edo 10-Zamfara 8-Ogun 8-Gombe 8-Borno 7-Bauchi 7-Kwara 4-FCT 3-Kaduna 3-Enugu and 2-Rivers.

According to NCDC, 1644 patients have recovered and been discharged, while the country has recorded 191 deaths.
