Nigeria’s new cases of coronavirus on Thursday spiked to 681, with the country’s total rising to 12,554.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said Lagos State maintained its lead, with 345 new cases. Rivers State came a distant second with 51 infections, followed closely by Ogun with 48 cases.
Other states were as follows: Gombe-47, Oyo-36, Imo-31, Delta-28, Kano-23, Bauchi-18, Edo-12, Katsina-12, Kaduna-9, Anambra-7, Jigawa-5, Kebbi-4, Ondo-4, and Nasarawa-1.
NCDC said 4, 494 patients have been discharged, while 387 deaths had died.
Globally, as of 2:20pm CEST, 11 June 2020, there had been 7,273,958 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 413,372 deaths, reported to WHO.
