With 587 new cases, Nigeria’s coronavirus infections rose to 7,735on Wednesday.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said 5,967 patients had been discharged, while the death toll stood at 469.
Of the new cases, Lagos led with 155, followed by Edo, which recorded 75.
The other states’ figures were as follows: FCT-67, Rivers-65,, Oyo-56, Delta-50, Bayelsa-25, Plateau-18, Kaduna-18, Enugu-17, Borno-12, Ogun-12, Ondo-7, Kwara-4, Kano-2, Gombe-2, Sokoto-1, and Kebbi-1.
Globally, as of 3:13pm CEST, 17 June 2020, there had been 8,061,550 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 440,290 deaths, reported to WHO.
