Nigeria records 1,270 new cases of COVID-19 as total rises to 101,331

Nigeria has recorded 1,270 new cases of COVID-19 across 22 states, bringing the total confirmed cases to 101,331 in the country.

According to daily updates from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, a total of 12 persons died from the virus, bringing the total deaths to 1,361.

A breakdown of the cases shows that Lagos recorded the highest with 435 cases, FCT 234, Oyo 103, Plateau 86, Rivers 71, Enugu 51, Nasarawa 41, Delta 39, Edo 39, and Osun 33.

Others are Niger with 31 new cases, Sokoto 23, Ondo 16, Taraba 13, Ebonyi 12, Kano 10, Abia 9, Bayelsa 8, Bauchi 7, Imo 5, Katsina 3, and Gombe 1.
