NCDC activates two more laboratories in Lagos, Ogun

Ogun leveraging materials testing laboratories to check building collapse

 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has activated two more laboratories in Lagos and Ogun states, to expand national testing capacity for COVID-19, it said.

This brings the total number of laboratories in the NCDC molecular Laboratory Network to 17.

NCDC, while announcing this through its official twitter handle on Tuesday, said the new labs were established by weare54gene in collaboration with the State governments.

The centre also announced that one more Lab is in progress in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Currently, the states in Nigeria with labs are Lagos,  FCT,  Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Jos, Ibadan, Ogun, Osun, Edo, Rivers, and Ebonyi states.
