WaleAgro sets to drive Nigeria’s food security with farm estates

WaleAgro Services has launched farm estates to drive agric productivity, stimulate economic growth and ensure the attainment of food security in the country.

The farm estate project is designed to provide a profitable platform for individuals and organisations to invest in the agricultural sector.
According to the World Bank, Nigeria is expected to be the third-largest in the world, behind China and India by 2030, with about 260 million people.

The country’s population is growing faster than food production, thus sparking fears of food insecurity in Africa’s most populous country.
Yusuf Adewale, chief executive officer, WaleAgro said the organisation is poised to exploit this national agro- gap, with a viable vision of reaping the bountiful opportunities of commercial agriculture, to extinguish unnecessary hunger, generate surplus revenue and minimize unemployment.

He stated that the farm estates were created so that agro investors can purchase or lease secured farmlands, set up and manage their farm sites as desired with professional guidance; resulting in handsome yields and ready access to the waiting market of robust income.
He added that WaleAgro Services pilots and pivots the provision of mechanized farm operations and the optimal utilization of the agro facilities in the estate.

According to him, the organisation parade the most mechanized and the largest agro estate of over 20m squared metres, spanning across four states Oyo, Kwara, Ogun and Osun states; where we provide further support services such as farm security, free advisories, farm management services and agro marketing services.
