UACN Property Development Company (UPDC) Plc is today turning the sod to commence construction on its ambitious Festival Mall in Festac Town, the headquarters of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The Mall, which will sit on 3.2 hectares of land, promises to provide delightful shopping experiences for the residents of this festival town who are predominantly mid-income earners.
The mall will also service residents of adjourning estates including Crystal Estate, Anchorage Estate, and other settlements including Mile 2, Okota, Navy Town etc.
Festival Mall was conceived by UPDC as part of a commercial and entertainment node in Amuwo Odofin LGA.
The mall hopes to benefit from facilities offered by Golden Tulip Hotel & Conference Centre which currently hosts over 100 large scale conferences annually and a block comprising of 212 apartments (offices, residences & long stay apartments).
A statement from the company made available to BusinessDay quotes officials of UPDC as saying, “It is our expectation that this complex, when completed, will transform the entire Amuwo Odofin environment and create a destination point for Lagosians”.
