Qatar Airways, the only five-star airline serving the Nigerian market, rewarded frontline travel agency staff in Nigeria for their excellent performance to the airline at a workshop it hosted in Lagos recently.
Explaining the motivation behind this move, Isaack Wambua, country manager of Qatar Airways in Nigeria, said the contributions of the travel agents to the growth of the airline were most cherished by the airline, adding that one of the reasons for this gesture was to recognise their efforts and motivate their partners in Nigeria.
“We value your commitments to the airline and we can say that our accomplishments are largely made possible by your contributions. This is why we decided to give this amazing offer to reward your unflinching efforts. Nigeria is one of the fastest growing markets in the Qatar Airways network and we are committed to offering and delivering excellent services on the ground and in the air,” Wambua said.
The travel agency workshop organised for frontline travel agents staff across Nigeria witnessed the giveaway of ticket vouchers worth over $20,000 in recognition of their contributions to the growth of Qatar Airways in Nigeria.
Olabiyi Oladele of Pat-Elo Travels Limited, who received ticket voucher worth over $1,000, expressed his appreciation to the airline for recognising their contributions to the development of Qatar Airways in Nigeria.
Qatar Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. Currently, it operates a modern fleet of over 100 aircraft to more than 140 diverse business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
It offers business class passengers fully flat horizontal beds in a 2-2-2 configuration on board its Boeing 777 aircraft. On other long-haul aircraft, business class seats recline up to 172 degrees, with massage functions. Wines and Champagne are served.
The airline has introduced new business class seats on board its newly delivered A320 aircraft with in-flight entertainment seat-back PTVs in every seat. It will introduce the new seats in each upcoming new A320 aircraft, as well as retrofitting four existing A321 and two A319LR aircraft.
