Universities laud the exceptional student reward initiative…
The university authorities and academic administrators have described the reward scheme as a timely, highly impactful intervention that not only incentivises exceptional students but also strengthens the critical bridge between academic excellence and corporate industry demands.
While sending the list of outstanding final-year students from their schools, they noted that such corporate-led recognitions are vital for fostering healthy competition, motivating the next generation of professionals, and driving the human capital development necessary for sustainable economic growth.
“This laudable initiative will undoubtedly motivate students towards academic excellence and positive contributions to society,” said Wahab Egbewole, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ilorin while commending Stransact Chartered Accountants for the merit-based Honour Roll initiative aimed at celebrating and supporting exceptional final-year students.
Stransact Chartered Accountants, part of RSM International, a global network of Audit, Tax, Consulting, and Deals Advisory Professionals, recently launched the Stransact Honours Roll initiative to recognise and reward outstanding final-year students across Nigeria’s top-ranked universities.
The programme will annually honour five (5) exceptional graduating students from each of twenty (20) universities identified by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, spanning the following disciplines: Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology, Business and Accounting, and Law and Humanities.
Each recipient will receive a cash award of N100,000, formal recognition as a Stransact Honours Roll recipient, and an invitation to join the Stransact Talent Vault (STV) – a structured programme designed to equip high-performing graduates with the practical skills and professional exposure needed for today’s workforce.
While appreciating Stransact Chartered Accountants for recognising University of Ilorin as one of the top 20 universities in Nigeria, Egbewole noted that “this recognition serves as an encouragement to the University community to continue striving for excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and service delivery”.
“While thanking you for this initiative, we urge you to sustain this, as contribution to education is but an unquantifiable investment in humanity,” Egbewole said.
