Business of digital billboards, outdoor marketing and advertising is receiving attention in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state for the first term as Sinergia Media Limited, a firm with a speciality in outdoor marketing and advertising pioneers digital billboards business in the 40-year old state, increasing revenue generated from signages and adverts across the state.

Sinergia Media Limited, according to information gathered, came to Ogun state as pioneer in business of digital billboards erection in December 2015 by erecting the first digital billboard at Kuto roundabout in Abeokuta, having secured approval from government through State-owned Signage and Advertising Agency, to erect digital billboards at strategic locations across major cities.

But, barely a month of its arrival in Ogun state, the first and only internationally-branded hotels in the State, Park Inn by Radisson in Abeokuta, the 173-room hotels, which is owned by A. A Entertainment Limited and operated by Rezidor Hotel Group as management partner, signed a multi-million naira, outdoor advert agreement with Sinergia Media that lasts for one year.

A senior official, who spoke with BusinessDay about digital outdoor advert deal with Sinergia in Abeokuta on Wednesday, said Park Inn by Radisson, a subsidiary of Rezidor Hotel Group, became a reality through a concession agreement with a defunct Ogun state-owned Gateway Hotels at Kuto, Abeokuta, having spent about N4 billion investment to resuscitate it.

He noted that the outdoor advert deal entered into, with Sinergia Media Limited was part of preparation to the grand opening of the internationally-branded hotels later in the year, adding that Park Inn by Radisson was located in the State to create jobs opportunities and welath, and add value to socio-economic growth and be a partner in progress to the State’s policies.

He added that apart from one-year, multi-million naira digital outdoor advert deals reached with Sinergia Media Limited, Park Inn by Radisson has employed 102 Nigerians as members of staff and spends about N300,000 daily to procure agricultural produce and food stuffs used to feed and entertain its guests, saying this will surely affect the State economic base.

Meanwhile, BusinessDay has reliably gathered that two giant telecomunication companies have concluded arrangements to extend business tentacles by using digital billboard adverts for their products across the State, thereby, increasing customers’ strength and create more jobs through adverts placements and add value to the socio-economic development.

BusinessDay also reports that Ogun state government is considering using digital billboard adverts for the forthcoming celebrations of Ogun state at 40 years and 3rd biennial investors’ forum coming up in February and March respectively. The State will roll out drums betweenJanuary 29th andFebruary 3rd, for Ogun State at 40 years, where 40 developmental projects will also be inuagurated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
