Anchorage Leisures Limited, owners of Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, has confirmed that renovation activities at the hotel are underway. The management of the company also confirmed that its present focus is to ensure that the renovation activities are conducted to time and quality specifica-tions so that the hotel can resume operations as soon as possible.

In a statement to present update on activities, An- chorage Leisures Limited said that all pre-renovation planning activities have been successfully concluded and implementation is un- derway immediately. “We have successfully relocated guests into alternative fa- cilities and all entitlements have been paid to disen- gaged staff”, the statement added.

Commenting on protests by some members of staff, the company noted that staff who protested must have misconstrued the in- tention of management. The statement reiterated that the hotel temporarily shut down business operations strictly because of the mag-nitude of the renovation and not because management had issues with members of staff as wrongly insinuated.

The statement again not- ed that “given the company’s strict adherence to global health and safety stand- ards, it would be wrong to have retained guests and staff on the premises while conducting the magnitude of renovations underway.”
