PZ Cussons appoints Dimitris Kostianis as managing director

PZ Cussons repatriated £35m in ten months on fiscal reforms

The board of directors of PZ Cussons Nigeria has approved the appointment of Dimitris Kostianis as a member of the board and as the chief executive officer of the company with effect from June 1, 2023.

PZ Cussons’s board of directors announces the retirement of Panagiotis Katsis as the chief executive officer of the company and from the board with effect from May 31, 2023.

Commenting on the changes Ifueko Okauru, PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc board chair said “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Panos for his service to the Nigerian business, where he has played a number of important roles during his 25 years with the PZ Cussons group.

“He will leave a significant legacy, successfully implementing our simplification strategy and creating the foundations for a strong future.

“I would also like to welcome Dimitris back to Nigeria, to build on those foundations and to bring his deep experience in the business and the region,” Okauru said.

The board stated its gratitude for his outstanding performance and for setting the company on the path of profitability while wishing him the best in his future endeavors.

The approved CEO of PZ Cussons Nigeria, Dimitris has spent more than 25 years at PZ Cussons which includes 13 years of which were in senior leadership roles for PZ Cussons Africa.

Until his appointment, Dimitris served as PZ Cussons MD for Asia. Oghale Elueni, currently a member of the PZ Cussons Africa leadership team, has been appointed as managing director of PZ Cussons Nigeria Consumer business.

The board stated its excitement about Oghale’s appointment as managing director, PZ Cussons Africa Consumer business and in that role, a member of the group executive leadership team.
