Poised to contribute it’s quota to an imminent revolution expected in Nigeria’s automobile industry in the next few years, as the country’s new Automobile policy gradually takes shape world leading car care and quick service brand, Precision Tune has debuted in Nigeria’s market space.

The brand which entered the market on Kunech’s Group, owned AutoNation platform says it will not only extend its world class auto care services to Nigeria’s savvy car owners but will also grow human capital development in its newly opened training and automobile academy located in Elemoro, Lekki.

The move, also geared at bringing international standard to car servicing in Nigeria, was described by Nicholas Ledingham, Chief Operating Officer, Kunech Group, as the perfect partnership to help deliver optimum car servicing to Nigeria’s expanding mobile middle class

Speaking during the official launch of Precision recently in Lagos, Claudia Ojinmah, head of sales, AutoNation Group said the partnership is an indication of Kunech’s strategic commitment towards investing and bringing in international brands and trust into the local automotive industry.

Some of the products and services available to car owners at the care centre include; preventive and schedule maintenance, accessories, tracking systems, tyres and all kinds of spare parts. As part of the company’s resolve to extend its services to all crannies of the state, there is also a mobile shop to help provide clients with on the spot car care services.

The new partnership will in the next 12 month berth four other car Precision centres, starting with the Osapa, Lekki outlet later in the year  and subsequent centres in Maryland, Lagos, Awka in Anambra state and Benin in Edo state, the firm further revealed.

On the reason for an automobile training facility, Ledingham explained that the need was orchestrated by the lack of any standardised automobile training centre in Nigeria. “There is currently nowhere in Nigeria where young technicians are trained on how well to service a car, repair the body shop or look after a customer’s car correctly in Nigeria, hence, we had to create that for ourselves,” he stressed.

Robert Falconi, chief executive officer, Precision Tune, in his remarks at the Launch stressed that the partnership will grow the country’s automobile industry through development of indigenous skills in the automotive sector, as there will be more opportunities for entrepreneurs and franchises who will be partnering with Kunech in the near future.

Acknowledging the stiff competition in the market, Ledingham observed that Precision will buoy Nigeria’s middle class with the latest innovation on car servicing which they have lacked with the available franchises, adding the firm will also it’s market share in the near future with the “affordable pricing” strategy

In his remarks, President Goodluck Jonathan who was represented at the launch by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Oluwatoyin Aganga commended Kunech for the laudable project, stressing that investments such as this would also create entrepreneurial and job opportunities for young Nigerians.

The care centre which was branded as the single auto care investment in Nigeria is expected to signpost the future of safety in Nigeria roads as one of the three factors of road traffic crashes in the country has been mechanical deficiency.
