Newrest ASL Nigeria Plc has applied to the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) for an extension for the submission of its 2016 audited financial statements.

In a letter sent to the NSE, the board of directors and management of Newrest ASL Nigeria Plc announced to its esteemed shareholders and other stakeholders with regret, that it has been unable to submit its 2016 audited financial statements to the Exchange within the time frame required by the regulatory agencies.

The company had expected to finalize the audit and publish its 2016 financial statements by March 31, 2017 which was stalled as it is yet to conclude audit of one of the company’s three subsidiaries with operations outside Nigeria.

Both management and the external auditors of the company, Akintola Williams Deloitte are optimistic that the final financial statements of the company will be available on or before 30th April, 2017 and published immediately following the above date.
