MillenniumBlok Limited, the Nigerian subsidiary of MillenniumBlok Incorporated of USA, has canvassed affordable, environment-friendly (green) and safe homes for Nigerians on World Habitat Day, stressing that, as a people, Nigerians should do away with slum living.

The company stated this during the WHD celebration in Nigeria on October 13, when it featured in an exhibition to commemorate the event at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

Its participation in the exhibition was anchored on the theme, ‘Nigerians Deserve Affordable, Environment-Friendly (Green) And Safe Homes, and, according to a statement signed by Ignatius Nwangwu, head, corporate and administration, this theme is in line with Ban Ki Moon, the UN Secretary General’s call on businesses “to build economically, socially and environmentally sustainable cities based on local solutions.”

According to Nwangwu, Ban Ki Moon’s call fits very well with the MillenniumBlok Green Housing Technology, explaining that this affordable, environment-friendly and safe technology produces various house-types for all classes of dwellers – from individual, high-end homeowners to corporate employers, estate developers, workers’ cooperative groups and other National Housing Fund (NHF) contributors.
