Mexican firm to commence manufacturing of heavy duty equipment in Oyo

A Mexican Company, Lugath manufacturing firm is to commence the manufacturing of heavy duty and fire-fighting equipment, as well as sanitary materials in Oyo State.

Cajiga Gevaldo, who is Chief Executive Officer said his company specialized in the production of heavy duty trucks, sanitary materials and fire-fighting equipment.

Gevaldo,an engineer who made the disclosure during a courtesy call on the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, in his office in Ibadan said that he was motivated into investing in Oyo State because of the peaceful atmosphere in the state and his willingness to contribute to the economic development of the state.

Responding, Governor Ajimobi expressed appreciation to Geraldo for his resolve to establish a subsidiary of his company in the state, adding that the development was owing to the conducive atmosphere created by his administration to attract both local and foreign investments to the state.

The governor, who said that his government was ready and prepared to partner with the Mexico-based firm, assured that everything would be done to ensure the success of the partnership and sustenance of the investments, for the benefit of the people of the state.

The governor also said that his administration would continue to encourage local investors through the provision of conducive environment for them to thrive.

“Our relationship with you will be mutually benefitting. I cherish the steadfastness of Mexicans in achieving success.You can count on us for a partnership with your company.Just like we are partnering with a Chinese company to set up a vehicle assembly plant in Oyo Sate, we will also work closely with you to establish your subsidiary in our state,” Governor Ajimobi promised.
