The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers in Nigeria, an umbrella body for all bakeries, confectioners and caterers in Nigeria, has thrown its weight, by way of endorsement, behind the forthcoming food and beverage (F&B) exhibition – Foodbext West Africa.

According to Jacob Anjorin, president of the association, who spoke during a courtesy visit by Dayo Oluwalana, marketing manager, and Muna Ezeanyagu, relationship manager of 151 Products Limited, organisers of the event, he says that the association is totally committed to attending the exhibition en masse since it is an event that gives a unique networking opportunity between manufacturers, suppliers and distributors. He called on brand owners in bakery, confectionery services and even equipment leasing to take advantage of the opportunity as more than 5000 members of the union nationwide would be mobilised to be in attendance, during which a seminar would be held on cassava bread.

He commended the organisers for such a prime event, as it would even be an opportunity for the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to interact extensively on the programme for cassava as alternative to imported wheat flour, a topic that is currently on the front burner in the country.

Oluwana reconfirmed the resolve of the organisation to put up a high level of professional delivery to ensure a good experience for the visiting brands, saying that bakers in other countries of Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, etc, would be at the event.

Foodbext West Africa, in its third event, has continued to grow in profile as the largest event for food and beverage products in West Africa.
