Louisville Lagos gets IFC’s dual certification for sustainability

Louisville mixed-use development, the flagship real estate project of TotalEnergies Staff Housing Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (TEHC), has been honoured with two excellences in design for greater efficiencies certifications from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The event which took place last Thursday brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss climate-resilient urban development, according to a statement.

“These accolades, awarded at the Future Cities – Africa Green Building Summit co-hosted by the Green Building Council Nigeria, underscore Louisville’s commitment to sustainability and excellence in green building practices,” the statement said.

It said before the awards, the firm was recognised for its advanced environmental alignment, significantly reducing water consumption, enhancing energy efficiency, and lowering embodied carbon in materials.

“Nestled within Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Louisville mixed-use development – envisioned to span over 22,000m2 – aims to create a vibrant and sustainable urban environment that seamlessly combines residential and commercial spaces.”

Ehima Uwumarogie, chief operating officer at TEHC, said they were honoured to receive the IFC’s EDGE certification.
