Loatsad Promomedia Limited, an out-of-home advertising company in Africa, has appointed Sophie Ejegi as its first female managing director.
According to a statement, she takes over from Adenrele Olusoga, who recently completed his term after a successful tenure.
“Ejegi is the first female managing director since the inception of the establishment, and her appointment is consistent with the company’s executive transition tradition, succession plan, and strategy of grooming leaders from within. Her appointment took effect from April 1, 2024,” the statement said.
“Before this appointment, she was the Chief Operating Officer at E-Motion Advertising Limited, a subsidiary of Loatsad Promomedia. Her journey with the company began in 2017 when she held the roles of Executive Assistant and Operations Manager. During this time, Sophie showcased her remarkable management and leadership capabilities, contributing to the success and growth of the organization,” it added.
Ejegi’s career in marketing communication commenced in 2015 when she joined 18twentyfour as a Project Manager in the United Kingdom, where she displayed her industrious nature, quickly making a name for herself in the industry.
Her educational background includes a degree in Business with Accounting from Kingston University, London, where she honed her skills and knowledge. Sophie also gained invaluable experience at Advocaat Law Practice, where she showcased her exceptional communication and marketing abilities, further establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in her field.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ejegi is actively involved in several industry associations, including the Women in Business Association, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, and the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria.
Sophie’s proactive approach to staying abreast of industry trends through participation in various trainings and conferences underscores her commitment to achieving excellence.
