Jiangsu Yulong Steel Pipe Co. Limited is the largest and one of the fastest growing Steel Pipe Manufacturers in China with 22 Sets of Steel processing and Pipe Manufacturing units.
After 35 years in the industry, the Company employs around 3000 people and has an annual production capacity exceeding 2.1 million tonnes of Steel Pipes and Tubes and 5.5 million square meters of coating plant.
The Company has completed bush clearing and sand filling of an 18 hectare expanse of land in preparation for the construction of the largest steel pipe mill in Lekki Free Zone.
This development is in compliance with the Federal Government Local Content Act as the first Oil and Gas Pipe manufacturer to commence the production of Steel pipes in Nigeria.
The ground breaking ceremony for the Steel Pipe manufacturing plant is scheduled to hold towards the end of October while actual construction will commence in November 2015 as the fabrication of the steel structure for the factory house has commenced in China.
The Company production volume is estimated at about 400,000 tonnes per annum with an annual sales projection of about $USD480 million.
The project upon commencement of operations will generate employment for over 1,000 people and will enhance modern technology transfer by training indigenous engineers in the steel fabrication industry.
