Sinoma International Engineering Co Ltd has signed a contract on a cement project worth $386 million with Nigeria’s Ibeto Cement Co.

The project is to be located in Enugu in South East Nigeria.

In a statement released on Wednesday, China’s sinoma said the scope of the contract will include a 6000 ton of clinker cement production line, limestone mining, raw material crushing to cement packaging, shipping process, and a 45 megawatt power station.

The contract covers the engineering design, equipment, steel structures and material supplies, civil engineering, installation, commissioning and personnel training.

Nigerian cement companies have been increasing capacity to meet increasing demand in Africa’s largest economy and oil producer.
