IBEDC Explains Power Outage In Parts Of Osogbo

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company(IBEDC) said concerted efforts are being undertaken  to restore normal power supply to some parts of Osogbo in the last five days.
Explaining the reasons behind the power outage affecting the areas,management of IBDEC said valued customers have been thrown into needless power outage caused by the reckless driver.

A statement issued in Ibadan yesterday by the Company’s spokesman ,Tokunbo Peters, explained that the power outage presently affecting Oja, Popo, Catholic Mission Road, Okeho-Ola and Ibokun Road areas of Osogbo was caused by a vehicle which ran into Oja 500kVa Transformer Substation beside the Ataoja of Osogbo’s Palace.

Severe damages were caused to the transformer, feeder pillar and other associated installations in the substation.

However, The statement implored motorists to always drive carefully and to avoid collision with IBEDC power infrastructural facilities which have been installed for the common good of the public.
