Halogen Group emerges as first Nigerian firm to win OSPAs award

Halogen Group, a Nigerian security risk management and safety solutions provider, has emerged as the sole winner of the 2024 Global Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) and the only company worldwide to secure two awards in the same year.

This was revealed during the inaugural Global Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) 2024 ceremony, held on Wednesday at the UK head office of the global organising body.

OSPAs is an annual award acknowledging excellence in security management and contested by top security companies across Europe, Africa, America, Asia, Australia, and Canada.

According to a statement, Academy Halogen, the group’s training institute, was also recognised as Security Training Initiative of the Year among other finalists.

It added that Halogen Group was awarded The Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) of the Year amidst several finalists from across the globe such as Executive Security Solutions (US), APS Group (India and South Asia), Manguard Plus (Ireland), FIRST Security (New Zealand), Peregrine Security (Southeast Asia), and First Response Group (United Kingdom).

“The Security Training Initiative of the Year award celebrates the works of Academy Halogen in equipping security professionals with world-class skills while the Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) of the Year award underscores Halogen’s reputation for delivering top-tier security solutions to businesses, organisations, and individuals,” the statement read.

Wale Olaoye, Group CEO of Halogen Group, expressed gratitude saying; “Winning two awards at the first-ever Global OSPAs is a testament to our relentless pursuit of security excellence. It is an honour not just for Halogen Group but also for Nigeria and Africa,”

He added that the awards reaffirm the group’s leadership in security training and physical security solutions as they remain committed to setting even higher standards for the industry.
