GrandLitora begins Cross River railway project at Tinapa

GrandLitora, a subsidiary of Rinehooke Investment and Cross River State Government has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for its ambitious Calabar-Obudu Railway project, held at the Tinapa Business Resort.

According to a statement from GrandLitora, this landmark event marks the beginning of a transformative journey that will see the development of an over 300KM hybrid passenger and freight rail line, connecting Calabar to Obudu and unlocking new economic potential for Cross River State.

Bassey Otu, governor of Cross River State, underscored the project’s potential to drive economic growth, enhance job creation, and promote sustainable development in the state.

“Today, we lay the foundation for a project that will redefine the future of Cross River State. This railway is more than just a means of transportation; it is a lifeline for economic empowerment, job creation, and sustainable development. We are paving the way for new opportunities and connecting our communities in once unimaginable ways,” Otu remarked.

Stanley Orji, partner and vice president of Infrastructure Investment at Rinehooke, highlighted the strategic significance of the project.
