German firm Miele opens for business with 1m pounds investment

German firm Miele has unveiled its state of the art gallery in Nigeria worth one million pounds.

Founded in 1899, Miele has been at the forefront of cutting edge home appliances and luxurious kitchen fittings for over a century, with a presence in about 77 countries said Athmane Lakhilifi, head of export sales, at the firm’s product launch recently held in Lagos.

Distinct from the crowd of domestic appliances, Miele has intelligent technology appliances that are designed to last for a minimum of 20years both in functionality and aesthetics.

“Our products have a one year guaranty and we are looking at extending it to three years in the near future,” said Mustapha Olorunnimbe, Managing Director, Miele Nigeria.

Some of the products on display included vacuum cleaners, which Lakhilifi said are triple filtered and this distinguish the brand cleaners from its contemporaries.

Also prominent in the cooling business Miele refrigerators offers proof of the company’s expertise with features such as the Perfectfresh zone, dynamic cooling, automatic ice maker, fully electronic controls and safety glass shelves to ensure the best distribution of cold air in its refrigerators and freezers.

In line with its slogan “a touch of luxury” the Miele ovens feature a simple and intuitive controls, coupled attractive design and innovative technology. The new moisture plus function combines dry and moist heat for wonderfully succulent roasts with crackling.

“Our service does not terminate in selling our products, we also ensure our customers are well satisfied and this has informed our decision to advise our customers even before they buy our products. We also install and train consumers on how to get the best from whatever product they buy if need be,” Olorunnimbe said.

“Our sales strategy will help us impose ourselves on the highly competitive market which we have taken about a year to study,” added Olorunnimbe.
