Exotix Strengthens Asia Equities Expertise with Hires from Habib Bank, African Alliance

Exotix, a leading Frontier and Emerging Markets investment firm, announced Monday, the appointment of Sibtain Mustafa and Paul Stromsoe to its expanded South East Asia equities trading team.

Sibtain joins from Habib Bank in Zurich, where he managed over $150 million of assets for high-net worth individuals primarily from Pakistan, and was previously Head of Equities at Elixir Securities in Karachi, where he received the Best Trader Award from the CFA Pakistan Society consecutively in 2013 and 2014.

Paul joins from African Alliance, where he was Head of Trading, and was previously Senior Equity Sales Trader at WestLB. During his 15 years covering the markets, Paul has also held senior roles at Merrill Lynch, Natixis, First National Bank and Silvia Quandt.

As of today, both are covering South and Southeast Asia for Exotix, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, while Paul will additionally focus on Africa.
