Eastern Distilleries deepens competition in alcoholic beverage sector with VARGA Super Premium gin

 

Eastern Distilleries and Food Industries Limited, one of the foremost players in the alcoholic beverage sector of the Nigerian economy, has deepened competition in the spirit segment with the introduction of VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin into the market.

Consequently, spirits connoisseurs in Nigeria are in for a treat, as VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin is distilled under strict industrial condition and can compete favourably with similar products from London and other countries with rich gin culture.

VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin according to Stanley Egbunugha, plant manager, Eastern Distilleries and Food Industries Limited, the product is produced from certified Food Grade Ethyl Alcohol that passed through the process of distillation.

The certification in terms of ethyl alcohol and distillation followed the tradition of excellence that Eastern Distilleries and Food Industries Limited is known for, where at the end of the distillation, the heart is separated from the tail. This is regardless of the huge financial implication of this process.

Egbunugha further stated that most people use Granular Activated Carbon, but VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin is filtered through 40 feet filtration vessels that contain 2000kg of powdered activated carbon, sourced from Noritz in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Between the vessels is quartz to remove every drop of carbon.

VARGA Super Premium dry Gin is free of congeners, acetone and higher alcohols that are widely responsible for headaches, nausea, sensitivity to light and lethargy that are experienced after consumption of spirits.

In VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin, the distilled spirit is passed through each of the columns of 40 feet filtration vessels to eliminate all fatty acids, the tails and heads, which usually cause headache and drowsiness.

The spirit is then left for another 24 hours for it to decant and afterwards, passed through 0.5 micron filters. This leaves you with an exceptionally clean, crisp, safe, and tasty spirit that is devoid of even the minutest impurity.

VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin is also protected from adulteration, as it comes with a rare non-refillable valve closure technology. This prevents spurious liquid to be poured into the bottle after the legitimate content of the bottle has been emptied.

As at today, Eastern Distilleries and Food Industries Limited is the only company in Nigeria that has the technology of the non-refillable valve closure system.

VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin comes in an exceptionally exotic packaging. The bottle is laid in a leather box adorned with glittering metallic steel on which the name of the product is engraved. The box has a magnet system that secures the lid to the box. The boxes are packed 6 in a wooden cask on which the details of the product are carefully printed.
