Deloitte Africa has announced four senior appointments to its leadership, a process that has reaffirmed the importance of the continent to Deloitte and strengthened the firm’s presence in key West and East Africa regions.

Lwazi Bam, CEO of Deloitte Africa, said the new appointees were all highly experienced executives who would bring particular skills to executive management. All appointments are effective from June 1.

The new appointees are: Sihlalo Jordan, deputy CEO of Deloitte Africa. Jordan has been the chief strategy officer for the African firm and financial services team business unit leader since 2012.

Mike Jarvis, chief operating officer of Deloitte Africa. Jarvis has been a partner since 1996, and was appointed Africa chief financial officer in June 2014. As the CFO, Jarvis has introduced significant efficiencies and numerous operational improvements that are enabling Deloitte to service its clients seamlessly across the African continent.

Fatai Folarin, CEO of Deloitte Nigeria and regional leader for Deloitte West Africa region. Folarin has been the deputy CEO for Deloitte Nigeria. With this appointment, Folarin also joins the Deloitte Africa executive.

Joe Eshun, deputy CEO of Deloitte East Africa region. Eshun moves to his new position after spending 15 years with Deloitte in East Africa where he has primarily provided solutions to international lending agencies operating across East Africa and several clients in the public and financial services sectors.

“The changes taking place in Deloitte Africa will ensure that we are well placed to deliver value to clients across the private and public sectors. All appointees are accomplished leaders who are best placed to make certain that Deloitte Africa takes advantage of the opportunities that arise on the continent, delivers on its commitment to make an impact that matters to its clients, people and communities,” says Bam.
