Credit registry, Nigeria’s largest credit bureau, has announced the appointment of Fatumata Soukouna Coker as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Anthony Kayode Gilbert as Board Director in its Annual General Meeting held on October 17, 2020.
The appointment of Fatumata Soukouna Coker marks the first female-led credit bureau in Nigeria with her as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun as Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer.
“We are in an exciting transformation period as a company, and the appointment of Fatumata Soukouna Coker and Kayode Gilbert will further enhance our progression as Nigeria’s leader in credit reporting. Coker, a global and emerging market leader, has over 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies in the high-tech industry across the globe. This includes global management responsibilities at IBM, Microsoft, and Soft Solutions Limited, a Nigerian information technology solutions company.
She is the Chairman of Afrinvest West Africa, a leading Nigeria-based investment bank. Her expertise in global and emerging markets has enabled her to work with a wide variety of companies in the USA, Africa, India, and the Middle East. Before she was appointed Chairman Board of Directors, she served as the Chairman, Nomination and Governance Committee of the Board.

Kayode Gilbert is a Deputy Director of Engineering at Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company. As a director in the Propulsion Systems Division (PSD), he is responsible for providing engineering oversight and strategic leadership that leverages the tremendous technological strength of the Boeing enterprise, industry and academia to improve overall productivity and execution.
