Turkish Airlines has again arrived Nigeria without passengers’ luggage, two weeks after the same situation created scenes at Abuja airport.

It was again learnt that at about 12.35am on Saturday, the airlines arrived Abuja leaving passengers’ baggage behind. The first scenario, where passengers invaded the tarmac over the issue, led to the sack of three officials at the airport.

Meanwhile, Saleh Dunoma, managing director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has advised the airline to resolve the recurrent cases of arriving passengers without luggage once and for all, following the latest occurrence on Saturday at 12.35am.

Dunoma said this at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja where he expressed the minister’s displeasure to the management of Turkish Airlines.

Dunoma described this as unacceptable, adding that this reoccurred barely two weeks after a similar incident that led to a breach in airport security.

He called for quick and lasting resolution of this unwholesome act capable of disrupting the peace and harmony of the airport, but however appealed to the passengers to remain calm and law abiding as the authority was making frantic efforts to find a lasting solution and safeguard their rights.
