World Bank expends $100m on four projects in Ogun

Mario Francess Meri-Nelly, the Nigeria country director of World Bank, has disclosed that the world apex financial institution expended about $100 million so far on four projects in Ogun State, saying the institution has a mandate to support Governor Ibikunle Amosun on his five point agenda. The projects are in water production, health, agriculture, and youths’ empowerment.

Meri-Nelly said that the bank having observed that Ogun State had robust socio-economic plans and had also perfected them to suit socio-economic and political development, coupled with a request to support, partnered the state to engender life-saving and socio-economic development, adding that the institution would continue to support activities that would positively affect the people’s standard of living.
