Star Arrival Hotels makes sterling arrival in Owerri hospitality business

It stands at five floors towering the New Owerri City skyline. From the exterior, it is doubtless the newest and arguably one of the best hotel in Owerri’s burgeoning hospitality splendour.

The Star Arrival Hotels is tucked away securely behind the State Secretariat, along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri. Its eastern side overlooks the Concorde Hotel Boulevard which today can be described as Owerri’s hospitality boulevard. At least 20 hotels are clustered in this area.

Esther Iwuanyanwu is Star Arrival Hotels’ general manager; an ebullient hospitality manager for many years. She told Business South-South that, Star Arrival has arrived with a big bang ready to give “luxury at its peak” to people, like its pay-off line states.

“We have carefully planned out entry into the hospitality market – to grab clients, flaunting our exquisite facilities and star services.”

Iwuanyanwu says the hotel’s uniqueness are its spacious rooms that are unusually bigger than most hotel rooms. And there are 60 of them – lavishly furnished – arranged in four different categories of: Star Single, Galaxy Standard, Galaxy Double and Luxury Suites. Another plus for the hotel is a noticeably infectious welcome smile of all the concierges.

With the luxurious furnishing, the hotel gives more than a guest’s money’s worth. Iwuanyanwu says they are running at half the price: “Our rooms now go for attractive 50 percent discount. We are doing this for a specific period,” she said. According to her, “we are giving guests luxury at the very peak, and at affordable price.” Hence, for just N10,000 a guest is a proud owner of a beautiful room a night; with a free gym and pool services.

The 150-seater conference hall is quite ideal and serene for conferees; especially with the location of the hall. While all these are topped up with a mouth-watering Owerre cuisine, popularly capped in Ofe Owerre.
