Lagos State government, native land owners and former residents of the project site have reached agreement on the construction of 1,008 housing units at Ijora Alawo, a Lagos suburb.

The trio at a meeting held at the Ministry of Housing agreed that the project should go on as planned while the host community will cooperate with the contractor to ensure that the project is delivered on schedule.

The representatives of the community which was demolished to give way to the new estate had visited the seat of government to pledge support for the laudable project which they acknowledged will change the face of the community and environ for the better.

Speaking, Baki-Faro Ojora and Tedunjaiye Raymond representing land owners and the residents, respectively, appealed to government to ensure that the displaced landlords in the affected parcel of land are part of the beneficiaries of the housing units, a request that received positive response.
