…swore in eight new Permanent Secretaries

Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has signed the State 2017 financial appropriation Bill of N127 billion passed recently by the State House of Assembly into law.
The draft of the Bill was earlier presented by the governor to the state assembly in December 2016, and passed into law on 1st January, with an increment of N2 billion.
The signing of the Bill witnessed by top government functionaries at Government House, Dutse, marks the official commencement of the 2017 financial year.
As part of the event, the Governor also swore in the eight newly appointed permanent Secretaries in the state Civil Service.
The oath was administered by the state Attorney General and commissioner Justice, Barrister Muhammad Sani Garin Gabas.
The Permanent Secretaries are: Gambo Ibrahim for Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Aliyu Ahmed Shungurum, who is to take charge of the Directorate of Manpower Development and Training, Musa Muhammad Diginsa, Establishment and Service Matters Directorate, Bello Ado Madaka, Local Government Service Commission, and Lawan Dahiru Ringim, Civil Service Commission.
Others are: M.A Kainuwa, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Hauwa Zakar, Ministry of Justice, and Nasir Mahmud, Ministry of Water Resources, while sworn-in them, Governor Badaru admonished them to be God fearing in the discharge of their duties and key in into Government commitment in ensuring accountability, justice and fairness.
The Governor also used the occasion to once again enjoin for cooperation from the people of Jigawa state in repositioning the economic fortunes of the state.
