MEMMCOL wins African Governance and Corporate Leadership Award

Momas Electricity Meters Manufacturing Company Limited (MEMMCOL), Nigeria’s foremost manufacturers of world class electricity meters and metering solutions, has won the 2014 African Governance and Corporate Leadership Award.

The award was bestowed on the company by the Institute for Government Research Leadership Technology recently in recognition of the company’s quality service and best practice in electricity meter manufacturing and vending/billing applications.

The award was presented to the company during the Ben Nwabueze Constitutional Law Public Lecture Series 2014 with the theme ‘Constitutional Democracy’ organised by the Institute for Government Research Leadership Technology which was held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Presenting the award to the MEMMCOL, John Ndanusa Akanya, the deputy chairman, Institute for Government Research Leadership Technology, commended the management of the company for its commitment to quality service delivery in electricity meter manufacturing and vending/billing applications.

Akanya noted that MEMMCOL through its huge investment in electricity meters manufacturing has put Nigeria in the league of technological advanced countries.

In his remarks, Kola Balogun, chairman, MEMMCOL, stated that the award is a testimony and recognition of the company’s contribution to national development in the critical power/energy sector.

“We are delighted to receive this award which recognises a major step forward in our effort to contribute to the development of the power sector in Nigeria. We are indeed honoured to have been recognised by the institute, we pride ourselves as world class manufacturer of electricity meters and software solution provider”, he added
