A mild drama played out on Thursday as the leadership of the House of Representatives effected the sealing of office of the suspended member, Abdulmumin Jibrin at Room 1.07 New Building.

The sealing of the office was supervised by Sergeant-at-Arms team and Nigeria Police led by Ndako.

The Legislative staff working with Hon. Jibrin were seen evacuating some of their personal belongings and relevant documents.

The ejection exercise was sequel to the resolution passed by the House during Wednesday plenary session on the recommendations of the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges chaired by Nicholas Ossai.

In adopting report and recommendations of the Committee, the House resolved to slammed 180 legislative sitting days suspension on Jibrin in the first instance.

Similarly, the lawmakers also adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Ethics and Privileges which provides that failure by Jibrin to “tender a full mal apology to the House, prior to his future resumption of duties in the House,” Abdulmumin Jibrin “should be barred from positions of responsibility in the House until the end of the 8th Assembly.”
