Fire outbreak at Olam’s juice plant under control

The fire that broke out this afternoon at a juice plant of Olam International is under  control by a  combined team of the Federal Fire Service and the Lagos State Fire Service.

According to Ade Adefeko, head of corporate and government relations at Olam, the staff have been successfully evacuated and no life was lost.

Adefeko said the cause of fire disaster is not yet determined, adding that it’s too early to start speculating on what caused it.

“We  wish to thank the Federal Fire Service and the Lagos State Fire Service for their prompt response. They, alongside our internal fire team, have helped a lot. We are happy with this,” he told BusinessDay on the phone.
