Venture Garden Group showcases innovation, leadership at Global Tech Africa Confab 2024

Venture Garden Group (VGG), a premier technology holding company facilitating transformative growth across Africa, made a notable impact as a Diamond Partner at the Global Tech Africa Conference 2024.

Held from July 24-26 at the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the event attracted over 10,000 participants, becoming a hub of innovation and collaborative technological advancements.

VGG’s presence was prominently featured at the conference, drawing considerable attention with engaging demos, cutting-edge product showcases, and interactive experiences.

Visitors explored a diverse array of solutions from VGG Companies such as Advancly, PowerTech Nigeria, Vigipay, EduTech Business, VigiLearn, Trail, BaseOne, Trips Africa, Vibranium Valley, Splashers, PeopleOS, Argon BlueChip, Zoome and Max. The presence of its VC arm, Greenhouse Capital and the Venture Garden Foundation further highlighted VGG’s comprehensive ecosystem.

The conference’s intellectual core was highlighted by insightful panel sessions featuring VGG’s co-founders. Bunmi Akinyemiju, Founder of Venture Garden Group and Managing Partner of Greenhouse Capital, participated in the prestigious panel discussion titled “Unlocking Liquidity: Catalysing Growth Through Strategic Investments and Innovation.” Reflecting on the session, Bunmi remarked, “Innovation is not just about technology; it’s about creating ecosystems that foster growth and sustainability. Our goal is to catalyse economic transformation by unlocking the potential of strategic investments.”

Ademola Idris Idowu, Co-founder & Partner, Venture Garden Group (VGG) Member, Board of Trustees VGN Social Foundation for Youth Empowerment, provided valuable guidance to emerging tech entrepreneurs during the “Funding Tech Startups” session, offering practical insights into securing venture capital and navigating investment landscapes. “Securing funding is just the start,” he noted. “The emphasis is on empowering startups to scale sustainably and influencefully, creating an environment where innovation flourishes.”

Beyond panels and exhibitions, VGG engaged in dialogues with key stakeholders, including Inya Lawal, the convener of the Global Tech Africa Conference. “Having VGG at the GTA Conference added immense value,” said Dr. Lawal. “Their dedication to utilising technology for socio-economic development aligns seamlessly with our objectives. Together, we can accelerate Africa’s technological revolution.”

The conference featured over 150 speakers and panellists, offering 55 hours of enriched content across three main stages: the Epicenter Stage, Startup Stage, and Outsource Factory Stage. Discussions covered a wide range of themes from AI showcases to health tech, fintech, insurtech, and the role of women in tech, underscoring the transformative potential of technology across diverse sectors.
