According to Time Out, their annual survey factors in a comprehensive range of criteria, capturing the experiences and perspectives of city-dwellers worldwide about living, working, and enjoying life in their hometowns at present.

With insights gathered from locals and their network of city experts across the globe, they compile a definitive global ranking of the world’s best cities. The results for 2024 are now available, reflecting the collective views and evaluations that shape their understanding of the most desirable urban centres globally.
The top five cities on the list are New York, Cape Town, Berlin, London, and Madrid.
