Nigerian real estate developer Michael Nnamdi Onyeachor is set to release his debut book, “Rags to Riches, The African Way,” in late August or early September. The book, which is already available for preorder, has gained significant early traction due to compelling snippets that resonate deeply with readers.

Many potential readers have expressed strong personal connections to the book’s themes, stating that it mirrors their own struggles and aspirations. Onyeachor’s candid approach to wealth creation and preservation has struck a chord across different age groups and backgrounds.
In the book, Onyeachor challenges a widely held belief in Nigeria that poverty is primarily a spiritual issue. Instead, he presents it as a behavioural challenge that can be addressed through deliberate mindset shifts and practical strategies.
“My book, Rags to Riches; The African Way, argues that it is a behavioral one,” Onyeachor said. “I take you through five stages—Survival, Comfort, Luxury, Abundance, and Generational Wealth—and expose the landmines at every level.”

He added: “Why do people who get money lose it? Why do the heirs of billionaires end up broke? I answer these questions with the naked honesty only an African can deliver.”
Onyeachor emphasised that the book is not another get-rich-quick scheme. Rather, it serves as a comprehensive manual for building and sustaining wealth across generations.
“This is not a ‘get rich quick’ book. This is a ‘get rich and stay rich’ manual for individuals of different ages and backgrounds,” he stated.
The author has ambitious plans to elevate the book’s impact. He intends to secure forewords from prominent figures including former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, Tony Elumelu, the Ooni of Ife, and other influential personalities.

“I plan to get top individuals like the former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, Tony Elumelu, the Ooni of Ife and others on the foreword,” Onyeachor revealed. “The book is expected to make a lot of buzz and become an international best seller.”
Following the launch, Onyeachor intends to embark on media rounds and campus tours to engage directly with readers and communities.
The book is generating anticipation as a potential game-changer in the African self-development and wealth literature space. By combining personal experience with cultural insight, Onyeachor aims to provide a practical roadmap tailored to the African context.
