Debuting at the prestigious Tribeca Festival, The Weekend proudly stands as the first Nigerian film production to independently feature at this global event, marking a groundbreaking achievement for Nigerian cinema.

With an impressive 13,016 submissions, The Weekend was selected as one of the final offerings at the festival, solidifying its position as a standout production.

In a recent interview, Uche Okocha, the producer, expressed his pride in bringing this compelling story to the big screen, highlighting the exceptional talent from Nigeria involved in its creation.

With a twist-filled narrative and a stellar cast featuring top Nigerian and Ghanaian actors, including Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Bucci Franklin, Meg Otanwa, James Gardiner, Gloria Anozie, and Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, The Weekend guarantees a gripping and suspenseful viewing experience.

The Weekend will premiere in cinemas nationwide on August 30 and is poised to captivate audiences with its powerful storytelling and captivating performances.
