The House of Representatives has drawn the attention of the Federal Ministry of Works to what it termed a shoddy reconstruction job of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

This is less than five years after it underwent reconstruction by the German construction giant, Julius Berger. The House is asking the Federal Government to probe the German company following the alleged shoddy job.

While briefing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, shortly after the plenary session on the bad state of the dual carriageway, chairman, House Committee on Public Account, Adeola Solomon; chairman, House Committee on Anti-Corruption, National Ethics and Values, James Faleke, who called for the probe, observed that the expressway was built by the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
