Even as its guests enjoy an array of hospitality offerings amidst world-class facilities, Golden Tulip Festac Hotel is coming up with more excitements for guests and fun-loving members of the public.

Come April 20, 2013, the hotel is opening its expansive garden to guests and music lovers across the country in the first ever Nigerian Music Festival.

According to Shousha Mohsen, general manager of the hotel, the festival, which holds in partnership with Five Star Music, will be an unrivalled gathering of some of Nigeria’s greatest musicians who would be greeted by over 7,000 fans across the country.

“We have set a simple goal. That is to bring the biggest music stars in the country together for the best show in Nigeria, a show that the world can only see in Golden Tulip Festac, Lagos,” Moshen said during a media chat at the hotel.

The Swiss-trained manager urged fans and Festac residents to come and cheer up their music icons such as King Sunny Ade, Onyeka Onwenu, Bongos Ikwue, Tuface Idibia, Flavour Nabania, Kcee, Ice Prince, Olamide, Pasuma Wonder, among others.

Also speaking at the media chat, Emmanuel Ele, corporate affairs manager of the hotel, noted that as the first of its kind in the Nigerian music industry, the Music Festival Lagos would provide a platform for old generation musicians to share the stage with new ones, thereby creating the needed synergy for contemporary and old music to work in harmony.

“With a strong desire to revive the cultural values surrounding the establishment of this iconic landmark, the management and owners of the hotel felt the need to encourage the unique talents of upcoming stars via the music festival,” he said.

The audience, as part of the line-up for this event, will be treated to live performances, award presentation, comedy, red carpet and entertainment. The general public is also expected to use the event platform to take advantage of the hotel’s facilities such as the world-class restaurant, bars, kidney-shaped swimming pool, and also the rooms.

The festival is the brainchild of Moshen, Obrien Obinna Ufondu and Kingsley Okonkwo (Kcee).
