The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned all deposit money banks (DMBs) to patronise only apex bank accredited cheque printers to ensure an efficient payments and settlements system.
This is following the accreditation of Superflux International and Tripple Gee and Company Plc to print cheques and other ‘debit pull’ paper instruments for the Nigerian market for 2013/2014.
The printers were accredited after the CBN in collaboration with the MICR Technical Implementation Committee conducted the accreditation and re-accreditation exercise of cheque printers in Nigeria in line with the Nigeria Cheque Printers’ Accreditation Scheme (NICPAS) qualification criteria.
