United Nigeria Airlines commences inaugural flight to Ekiti December 10th

United Nigeria Airlines has announced the commencement of its inaugural commercial flight to Ekiti State from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, December 10th, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of domestic air connectivity across Nigeria and reinforcing the airline’s commitment to serving emerging routes with growing economic and social importance.

The new service will operate at the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Airport, Ado-Ekiti, opening a fresh chapter for air travel in the state and providing residents, investors, government officials, students, and visitors with a faster, safer, and more convenient travel option.

This inaugural flight represents a major boost to the state’s economic prospects, providing support for tourism, commerce, agriculture, and the creative industry that continues to flourish in the region.

It also aligns with United Nigeria Airlines’ strategic vision of linking underserved destinations and enhancing mobility across Nigeria.

Speaking ahead of the launch, the management of United Nigeria Airlines noted that the decision to begin flight operations to Ekiti was driven by the rising demand for improved connectivity and the airline’s desire to support the state’s development agenda.
