Ado Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer of Aero Contractors,  has said that if there is constructive collaboration between the federal government and the private sector in the aviation industry, it will lead to growth and national development.

Sanusi stated this when Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU),  visited Aero Contractors, Nigeria’s foremost commercial airline and embarked on facility tour of the company.

Hajia Bala Usman toured the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility of the airline and was impressed.

During the tour, she was intent on how government can support the private investors in the aviation industry to grow the sector and increase its contribution to the nation’s GDP.

Sanusi speaking about Bala Usman’s visit noted, “It was an honour to welcome Hadiza Bala Usman to Aero Contractors.  I had the pleasure of taking her on a tour of our operations — and in particular our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre, which continues to position Aero Contractors as a strategic aviation asset capable of supporting operators across West and Central Africa.

“What impressed me most was not only her genuine curiosity and the depth of her questions, but her sincere interest in how government can better support the growth of our aviation industry. Though not an aviator by background, her command of policy, performance and institutional development was evident throughout — a reflection of the results-driven mandate she leads at the CRDCU.

“Her visit reinforced the value of constructive collaboration between government and industry. When public servants engage directly with stakeholders, ask the right questions and focus on practical solutions, they help create the environment in which businesses thrive and contribute even more to national development. Thank you, Hadiza, for taking the time to visit us. I wish you continued success in your national assignment. With public servants of her calibre — thoughtful, rigorous and committed to delivery — I remain confident about the future of Nigeria’s aviation industry and of our country,” Sanusi said.

Aero Contractors also said the visit provided an opportunity for the company to showcase Aero’s capabilities and its commitment in advocating the growth of the aviation industry through innovation, collaboration, engineering and excellence.

The airline also noted that Bala Usman was impressed by the equipment and personnel she saw at the MRO centre, which has been supporting airlines in Nigeria and beyond.

“The maintenance centre had provided decades of engineering expertise and combined with internationally recognised standard of team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to excellent service. Every aircraft maintained in our MRO reflects our unwavering commitment to operational excellence and continued growth of African aviation,” the airline added.
