PCR test

The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 Monday said Air travellers coming into Nigeria must present a valid Polymerase Chain Reaction, PCR test of not less than 96hours as required by international travel guidelines and protocols, less they would not be allowed to board flight to Nigeria.

The PTF said, this is in line with its effort to ensure necessary interventions that don’t allow importation of new infections into the country are strictly adhered to.

Sani Aliyu, the National Cordinator of the Presidential Task Force who gave the information at the Monday press briefing in Abuja said the government has established an online registration portal, as part of its risk mitigation measures in line with international guidelines for travellers coming into Nigeria.

Sani explained that the portal itself is a tool that ensures that all travellers coming into NIgeria register in that platform and complete all necessary pre tests required in compliance to travel guidelines that the government issued on the 5th of Septemeber.
