Adenike Aboderin takes helm as CEO of SAHCO Plc

The Board of Directors of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has officially announced the appointment of Adenike Aboderin as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2024.

This appointment follows the completion of Basil Agboarumi’s tenure.

Adenike Aboderin brings to SAHCO a wealth of experience garnered from her extensive career in both the private and public sectors, particularly in finance and executive leadership roles.

Aboderin’s professional journey is marked by her distinguished contributions in various capacities, including her tenure as the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) until December 2023.

Her expertise spans policy formulation, financial advisory, and the development of sectors such as oil & gas, infrastructure, and transportation.

Furthermore, Aboderin has served as a Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Ogun State on Trade and Investments, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing the state’s Economic Planning Department from 2011 to 2014.

Her interests and influence extend beyond finance into manufacturing, transportation, and social development.

In addition to her professional achievements, Aboderin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA).

She is also an AMPAP-certified International Airport Professional (IAP).

Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Lagos.

Aboderin’s commitment to continuous learning is evident through her participation in postgraduate courses at renowned institutions such as the Harvard Business School and the Lagos Business School.

Currently, she is pursuing another Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, UK.

With a keen focus on strategic thinking and policy formulation, Aboderin aims to leverage her expertise to drive SAHCO’s growth trajectory.

Her appointment reflects SAHCO’s commitment to excellence in aviation ground handling services, including passenger handling, cargo handling, and aviation security, among others.

Through her leadership, SAHCO endeavours to enhance its service offerings and contribute to the development of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
