Mike Aremu the leading Nigerian International Saxophone sensation is set to repeat his successful SAX APPEAL concert in the city of Abuja, the FCT. SAX APPEAL Aremu’s brainchild is a Jazz concert aimed at reaching the hearts of music lovers around the world by providing quality live performances from highly talented artistes within Nigeria and from different parts of the world.
SAX APPEAL 1 and 2 took place at the prestigious MUSON centre Onikan Lagos in 2009 and 2010. The last event tagged SAX APPEAL 3 held at the prestigious Eko Hotel Expo centre in 2011 with multiple Grammy Award winner Kenny G headlining and was well attended by the crème de la crème of society including Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Senator Udo Udoma, Donald Duke and a host of others.
The venue for this SAX APPEAL 4 edition is the upscale Transcorp Hilton Abuja on Sunday the 23rd of November and will have headlining alongside Mike Aremu, American female smooth Jazz Latino saxophonist Jessy J with Kunle Ayo, Yinka Davis and Timi Dakolo.
This year’s Co-headliner Jessy J has had a gangbuster career already, scoring back-to-back hits, #1 Song of the Year and a #1 Billboard Album in 2011. Five years after making her debut she released her highly anticipated self produced album entitled ‘Second Chances’ which debuted in 2013 and reached a major milestone as she took over the reins as the producer of the new album. The set features collaborations with Grammy Award nominated keyboardist-producer Jeff Lorber, Grammy Award-winning guitarist Norman Brown, renowned bassist Jimmy Haslip (formerly with The Yellow Jackets) and legendary pianist Joe Sample.

Tickets for this year’s event are N10,000 regular and N20,000 for VIP. The event kicks off at 5pm and is supported by Anchor Digital Media, Transcorp Hilton, Multichoice, Studio 24, Cool FM, Wazobia, OHTV and Inspiro productions.
